Prince Harry labelled 'total halfwit' by Piers Morgan over job 'resignation' comments

Piers Morgan, 56, has launched another “attack” at Prince Harry after Harry’s comments about leaving your job to boost your mental health. Harry has been slammed on social media and labelled a “hypocrite” after advising people to leave their jobs in favour of bolstering their mental health in an interview with start up company BetterUp.

Piers took to Twitter to comment on Harry’s “halfwit” comments in response to an article written on the subject.

In view of his 7.9 million followers, the ex Good Morning Britain presenter penned: “He really is a total halfwit.”

Many took to the comments to say what they really thought of the Royal’s latest actions.

Pflaxman said: “I don’t think he realises that normal people have to go to work in jobs they hate because they have bills to pay.”

Harry explained that thanks to his work for the company, he has come to learn “that a lot of the job resignations you mention aren’t all bad”.

He continued: “In fact, it is a sign that with self-awareness comes the need for change. Many people around the world have been stuck in jobs that didn’t bring them joy, and now they’re putting their mental health and happiness first. This is something to be celebrated.”

The Duke of Sussex famously left his “job” two years ago to live in California after departing from the Royal Family due to a “lack of support and lack of understanding”.

Many took to Twitter to comment on Harry’s “embarrassing” comment.

“Couldn’t make it up, please someone, anymore, make it stop!”

Tissework added: “Unfortunately, for an average person, especially one who lives paycheck to paycheck, one who doesn’t have a trust fund… It’s extremely hard.

“Joy is not always the goal, getting paid and providing for a family is.”

However, many agreed with Harry and his pose on how to better your mental health.

AidaLuciaLopez2 said: “I agree with him, it’s better to quit. But to do it you need to trust in your own capabilities. The benefits are greater than the prospects of an unfufilled life for sure.”

FirstGentleman tweeted: “Prince Harry quit his job in the royal family so he knows first hand.”

Adimsncom1 commented: “Fantastic job from the people’s Prince Harry, a Prince of heart.”

Piers regularly takes swipes at the Royal couple, labelling ITV last week as “more dysfunctional than the Royal Family”.

Piers reflected on his exit, admitting he was relieved to not attend this year’s ITV Palooza.

Writing in his latest column, he penned: “One of the benefits of getting divorced from the ‘ITV family’ – which, for all the fake smiles, is even more dysfunctional than the Royal Family – is that I no longer have to attend the annual ‘Palooza’.”
