Primark has just launched sustainable jeans and we're so here for them

Sustainable fashion is on the rise, meaning we can finally show the planet that we care whilst simultaneously adding to our ever-expanding wardrobes (and not blowing our entire pay check doing so…)

So it’s music to our ears that Primark has joined in on the trend, launching their first-ever range of jeans made from 100% sustainable cotton.

The new collection of women’s skinny jeans includes three different shades – Indigo, Black and Light Blue – meaning our favourite staple item just got a whole lot more planet-friendly.

This is not the first time that Primark has dipped into the world of sustainable fashion either. In August 2017, they introduced a range of sustainably-sourced cotton pyjamas that shoppers went absolutely mad for, and earlier this year they released their collaboration with Alice Liveing, which featured a top and leggings set made from recycled polyester and two biodegradable water bottles.

The move towards more eco-friendly options in-store is part of Primark’s goal to use 100% sustainable cotton across all of their products.

As part of the Sustainable Cotton Programme, Primark aim to help farmers grow cotton using more natural methods but also help to change the lives of the farmers in India and Pakistan by increasing incomes to support their families. They have already managed to reduce water consumption by 15%!

The jeans will be available in all stores across the UK for £13.
