- Get ahead. Brain-freeze is definitely a thing, even without eating an ice-cream. Keep warm with some cosy headgear, such as a woolly bobble-hat from New Look at £7.99. Primark has a range starting at just £2.50.
SAVE: Up to £5.49 - Jump to it. Chunky knits are always on my shopping list. For a heart-warming saving head to H&M, where an oversized polo neck jumper is £24.99. I love the F&F range at Tesco, where you can get polo-necks from £12.
SAVE: From £12.99 - Parka life. As temperatures drop, a warm coat is a must. A silver borg-lined parka with faux fur trim is a steal at £26 from Asda. It should keep you snug in the worst weather. And Asos has a traditional parka in khaki for £27, down from £54.99.
SAVE: £27.99 on Asos parka - Pin number. Keeping warm does not mean looking frumpy. Spice up your winter togs with fleece-lined, leather-look leggings for £14.40 at boohoo.com, down from £18. They will keep pins toasty. If you need new joggers, Aldi has them for £2.99.
SAVE: £3.60 on leggings - Hot-foot it. Boots are the top winter purchase for British women, spending £84 on average. But I found a great pair for half that price. At Sports Direct, a pair of fleece-lined SoulCal boots are £35, down from £70.
