Premier League: Palace star Wilfried Zaha to replace Neymar at PSG?

PSG eye Zaha

Linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham in the summer, Wilfried Zaha could still leave Selhurst Park before the 2 September European transfer deadline.

The Daily Mirror reports that the Crystal Palace star is a target for Paris Saint-Germain. Apparently the French champions have “earmarked the Ivory Coast international as a potential replacement for Neymar”.

Brazilian Neymar is allegedly desperate to return to Spain and with the fans on his case it appears inconceivable that he won’t make the move to Barcelona in the coming days.

But with Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani facing up to a month on the sidelines with injury, PSG are in urgent need of a frontman and Zaha could fit the bill.

Toby Alderweireld Tottenham transfer news

Alderweireld to pen new deal?

While Tottenham seem resigned to losing Christian Eriksen in the coming days, Football.London reports that there is better news for Spurs fans as far as Toby Alderweireld is concerned.

The outlet claims the Lilywhites will re-open talks with the defender with a view to offering him a new long-term deal.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season, and Spurs’ hand has been strengthened by the fact that over the summer no club “came calling when he was available for £25m due to a clause in his deal”.

As a result Spurs are set to offer Alderweireld a three-year contract worth around £120,000-per-week.

Tottenham and Denmark star Christian Eriksen is linked with Real Madrid

What next for Eriksen?

The Guardian reports that Tottenham are “in the dark” over Christian Eriksen’s future.

It’s claimed that the Dane’s agent Martin Schoots has fallen out with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and there have been no talks for some time between the two parties.

Eriksen, who is out of contract next summer, is thought to want a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been in great form since signing for MLS side LA Galaxy in March 2018

Zlatan: if United need me I’m here

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has issued a “come and get me” plea to former club Manchester United, the Daily Star reports.

The 37-year-old Swede, who currently plays for LA Galaxy in the MLS, said: “The lion still roars, yes. I could still play easily in the Premier League. If United needs me, I’m here.

“But right now Galaxy has me and that’s what I’m concentrating on. I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it. I have 33 trophies that I brought with me and hopefully I can win something here and then we will see where I finish.”
