Power season 6: Did Ramona shoot Ghost? Is she related to Breeze?

James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick) has no shortage of enemies in Power, with several in the frame for his potential murder following the midseason finale. Ghost was last seen falling from the balcony in Truth after being shot in the chest and while the likes of Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) seem like obvious suspects, there are plenty of theories to suggest it was actually Ramona (Cynthia Addai-Robinson).

Did Ramona shoot Ghost?

Ahead of Power’s return in January 2020, Ramona is not being touted as a potential suspect in the ‘Who Shot Ghost’ promos released by Starz.

However, the series is no stranger to defying expectations and taking viewers down paths they did not see coming.

As such, several fan theories have emerged labelling Ramona as the shooter – and they’re pretty convincing.

Many predictions from Power fans stem from the theory Ramona is actually related to Breeze.

Breeze is never seen on Power as he was the former drug kingpin who would run the streets of New York before Ghost.

During the early days of their drug ring, Ghost, Tommy and Kanan (50 Cent) decided he had to be killed in order for their empire to thrive.

In doing so, Ghost was the one who pulled the trigger and shot Breeze in the back of the head.

He confesses to the killing to his son in the midseason finale, telling Tariq: “I didn’t want to kill Breeze. I loved Breeze. I was your age when I killed him.”

One fan said: “A good finale for power: Ramona shot Ghost, Ghost’s past comes back to haunt him, as Ramona is linked to Breeze, and she comes back for revenge years after.”

A second added: “Maybe Ramona killed Ghost in relation to that kid Breeze.”

While a third said: “Ramona killed Ghost. I think she’s related to Breeze. My thoughts.”

Should Ramona be linked or related to Breeze in some way, it would certainly explain her sudden involvement in his life.

Other evidence to suggest Ramona is the one responsible includes the fact Power fans never saw her leave Truth.

Her last interaction with Ghost was after the Kanan chat.

She tells him: “I know we still have to talk. Shall I meet you back at your hotel?”

Ghost seems more than happy at the proposal and the pair share a kiss, but Ramona is never shown leaving the premises.

She may well have stayed in Truth and snuck up on Ghost to shoot him.

Fans will have to wait until Power returns in 2020 to find out exactly who the culprit is.

Power season 6 returns to Starz and Netflix in January 2020.
