Esports organization the Pittsburgh Knights announced that it has entered into a partnership with ExpressVPN. The virtual private network service is now the preferred VPN partner of the Knights and will be sponsoring the Knights VALORANT Invitational, taking place this weekend.
ExpressVPN will be providing its VPN service to the entire Knights organization.
The British Virgin Islands-based company, which boasts 160 locations in more than 94 countries, can allow gaming enthusiasts to procure in-game items, such as maps or skins, that might not be available within their home network. Additionally, a VPN can be a valuable tool in preventing DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks aimed at the internet connection a player game’s from.
The Knights join Dignitas, another North American based esports organization, who partnered with ExpressVPN in July, and plans to use YouTube as a distribution platform for content that will highlight the benefits of using a VPN.
