He said: “He was lying through his back teeth through most of it.
“The internet brought the receipts. All the things he said he never does, the internet brought the receipts.”
However, Piers did say that he felt sorry for Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.
He said: “I also feel sorry for his daughters, they are charming lovely girls, beautifully brought up, one of them is getting married in the next few months.
“What’s that going to be like? She was hoping for a televised ceremony like her sister, with Andrew walking her down the aisle.”
