Phoebe Waller-Bridge's New TV Show Looks Set To Be As Successful As Fleabag And Killing Eve

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is set to bring another TV show, entitled Run, to the small screen this year. The new romantic comedy series – executively produced by Waller-Bridge and written by Vicky Jones – will add another female-focused show to her already impressive CV.

Due to air on HBO later this year (a UK air date has yet to be announced), the series focuses on Ruby (played by Merritt Wever) leading a seemingly ordinary life until one day she receives a text message from her old boyfriend Billy (played by Domhnall Gleeson), who is now a famous life guru and wants her to join him on his new life journey. Waller-Bridge will also appear on the series as Flick.

Jones and Waller-Bridge are longtime creative collaborators, having previously worked together on hit TV show Fleabag. Emily Leo will take on the role of executive producer and Kate Dennis, of Netflix’s GLOW, directed the pilot episode.

This year looks set to be another stellar year for Waller-Bridge, as Killing Eve returns to our screens for season two, and the second series of Fleabag continues to broadcast on BBC One.
