Charles Bronson’s ex-wife Paula Williamson died aged 38 at a house in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire Police confirmed. A statement from the police said: “A woman from Stoke-on-Trent who was found dead this morning (July 29) has been blamed as Paula Williamson, aged 38. Paula’s body was found in a house on Gordon Avenue, Sneyd Green, at around 7am,” it said. “A post mortem will take place to establish the cause of death but the death is not being treated a suspicious.

“A report is now being prepared for the Coroners.”

The police added: “Next of kin have been informed. The family have asked for their right to privacy to allow them to grieve at this difficult time.”

The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Williamson married Bronson, 66, in prison in 2017, having visited him on several previous occasions.

They subsequently split after pictures emerged of a man burying his head in her cleavage while she was on holiday.

Bronson wrote to his then wife to tell her he wanted a divorce after less than a year of marriage last year.

She went on to appear on Loose Women to open up about the split, saying she and her gay male best friend had been on a night out together when the moment occurred.

“[We] met up with six lads who I presumed were gay because we were in a gay bar,” she explained, recalling how they were drinking playing dares and “being stupid”.

“One of them said, ‘Are your boobs real or fake?’” she continued, before saying it was “ridiculous” of her to have allowed him to.

“I was mortified and I want to take this opportunity to say I am very, very sorry to Charlie,” she continued, breaking down in tears.

“I’m an outrageous flirt with everybody and I’m just silly,”

She said Bronson’s letter accused her of humiliating him.
