Paul Chuckle has kicked off at CBBC over their ranking of their greatest shows after it placed ChuckleVision in the ‘mid tier’.

The channel’s official social media account divided some of their best shows between four categories, ranging from ‘legend tier’ to ‘hmmm tier’ depending on their perceived quality.

As you can imagine, it was totally wrong. While there was rightful inclusions like Horrible Histories and Get Your Own Back in legend status, there was a number of bizarre omissions like Blue Peter and Live And Kicking which caused online fury.

One person who wasn’t happy was Paul Chuckle, who was particularly irked after ChuckleVision was placed in the third tier down alongside, er, Bamzooki.

Responding to the ‘Did we get it right?” tweet with the post, Paul wrote: ‘No actually you didn’t in my opinion @cbbc get it right #Chucklevision 294 episodes over 21 years #GetVoting.’

What started out as innocent social media frolics soon turned nasty, however, when Paul brought up the issue of the show’s cancellation in response to a fan.

‘They dumped us without comment or even letting us know ten years ago so I wasn’t surprised to be honest that @cbbc would do this,’ Paul wrote.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to BBC for comment.

ChuckleVision began in 1987 before it was cancelled in 2009 after 21 series.

Paul’s brother Jimmy Patton died aged 87 last month, a year after Barry Chuckle who passed away from bone cancer aged 73 in August 2018.
