Ozzy Osbourne has been battling with Parkinson’s disease since 2003.

The star only revealed he had the disease in January 2020, but he’s since explained that it’s actually been 17 years since he was diagnosed.

In a new interview with Los Angeles Times, the Black Sabbath legend explained: ‘I’m not dying from Parkinson’s. I’ve been working with it most of my life.

‘I’ve cheated death so many times. If tomorrow you read, “Ozzy Osbourne never woke up this morning,” you wouldn’t go, “Oh, my god!” You’d go, “Well, it finally caught up with him”.’

The War Pigs singer first discussed his health issues in an interview with Good Morning America last month, explaining what he went through.

‘I’ve got numbness down this arm from the surgery,’ he started. ‘My legs keep going cold, I don’t know if that’s Parkinson’s or what… It’s a weird feeling.’

Ozzy had to have surgery on his neck in 2019, which is when he found out he had Parkin’s II.

His wife, Sharon Osbourne, said: ‘It’s very hard for doctors to go, well this is your injury from your fall, and this is what comes with Parkin II. We’ve kind of reached a point in this country where we can’t go any further because we’ve got all the answers we can get here.

‘So in April, we’re going to a professor in Switzerland, and he deals with getting your immune system at its peak. We are going to go wherever we can go to seek answers.’

Ozzy said that he is considering setting up a foundation, noting they are lucky enough to be able to afford different options.

Robin said that the rocker was proving he wasn’t ‘on his deathbed’, with Ozzy laughing: ‘Far from it.

‘I’m no good with secrets, I cannot run around with it anymore.’

Sharon, getting tearful, explained her brave face and said: ‘I have to be there for Ozzy and for the family. If I break down and their dad… no. You just can’t do it.’
