‘Once Upon a Time’ star Gabe Khouth dead at 46 after motorcycle accident



Actor Gabe Khouth, known for his role in ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” as Sneezy/Tom Clark, has died. He was 46.

The actor’s brother, Sam Vincent, posted a Twitter video Friday to confirm that Khouth died Tuesday after going into cardiac arrest while riding his motorcycle.

“I wanted to make it official for people who didn’t know that my brother, Gabe, passed away on Tuesday from cardiac arrest on his motorcycle,” he said. “He went out doing what he loved and he’s at peace now.”

Khouth’s agent, Natasha Trisko Pezzente, also confirmed the actor’s death in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and Today.

Actor Peter Kelamis took to Twitter to mourn his friend.

“Gabe ALWAYS put a smile on everyone’s face,” Kelamis tweeted Friday. “My deepest condolences to his Family and friends. RIP-You kind, kind soul.”

Khouth played the recurring character in 43 episodes over seven seasons of “Once,” an ABC fantasy series that debuted in 2011 and aired its final episode in 2018.

USA TODAY has reached out to ABC for comment.

“Once Upon a Time” co-creator Adam Horowitz tweeted his condolences.

“Terribly saddened to learn of the passing of Gabe Khouth… a lovely man, a great talent, and an indelible part of Once Upon A Time since the beginning,” Horowitz said. “But more importantly, he was our friend. He will be missed. RIP, Gabe.”

Khouth’s “Once Upon a Time” co-star Jason Burkart said that he was “totally saddened by the loss of our good friend Gabe.”

“You will forever be in our hearts and memories,” Burkart tweeted. “Thanks for all the belly laughs. Love ya buddy.”

Burkart also tweeted a video of Khouth’s brother encouraging people to come out to the roadside memorial to pay tribute.

“My brother loved to ride,” Sam said, getting choked up. “He loved all of you.”

Sean Maguire, who also starred with Khouth in “Once Upon a Time,” tweeted that he is “devastated” about his co-star’s death.

“We are all devastated by the passing of our dear & sweet friend Gabe Khouth from Once,” Macguire said. “We are going to set up a go fund me campaign for Gabe‘s kids ASAP & I hope any of you that loved his work can donate what you can to help his family get through this tragedy.” 

In addition to his role on “Once Upon a Time,” Khouth’s TV credits included “Supernatural,” “Life Sentence,” “A Series of Unfortunate Events” and “iZombie.”
