Ola and James Jordan say their lives have just begun after welcoming baby Ella

Ola and James Jordan have opened up on how their lives have changed and have ‘just begun’ after welcoming their first child together.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professionals announced on February 29 that they had welcomed their daughter.

Sharing a picture of her daughter’s tiny hand in her own, Ola wrote: “She’s here and she is perfect”.

Ola, 37, and husband James, 41, who tied the knot in 2003, admitted that their little girl didn’t have a name for over a week because they were struggling to find and agree on the perfect one.

However, after much deliberation and tossing around names, they have finally revealed that their baby girl is now called Ella.

Showing off some beautiful photos of Ella for the very first time in Hello! magazine, Ola revealed that she and her husband simply had a pet name for their new baby up until now.

“We didn’t have a name for the first week – she was just Baby, our little munchkin”.

Opening up on how magical it feels to become a mother for the first time, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional insisted that it’s been both a massive learning curve and the biggest blessing of her life.

The blonde beauty admitted: “It’s been amazing and overwhelming at the same time. We’ve wanted this for so long. We had a lovely life, but this is making us feel so much happier than anything else we have done. Nothing in our careers measures up to this. It feels perfect”.

James agreed, insisting that it’s all the more special because it’s something they never thought would happen.

“Our trophies and accolades fade into the background. This is the best moment of our lives, without a shadow of a doubt.

“Ola has given me the most precious gift. It’s totally changed the way I see the world”.

The former Strictly duo conceived after starting IVF treatment last June.

The talented duo delighted fans back in September when they announced that they were expecting a baby, with Ola admitting: “I still can’t quite believe it.”

The Polish stunner was shocked after she fell pregnant on the first round of IVF last summer.

This was due to the fact that her doctors only gave her and James a 50 per cent chance of being successful in conceiving a baby the first time around.

After announcing the exciting news, Ola insisted that she could not believe that it actually worked for them.

“I don’t think it’s properly sunk in,” she insisted at the time.

The lovebirds first appeared on Strictly in 2006, staying on the show for 18 years collectively.

James left the dance competition in 2013 – and went on to win Dancing on Ice in 2018 – while Polish dancer Ola followed two years later.
