Justin Bieber has been promoting his new label Drew on Instagram with much enthusiasm over the past few weeks. (For those who are unfamiliar with the brand, it’s comprised of hoodies and sweatpants in mainly beige.) Today, Bieber posted another image of himself wearing the collection that included a banana yellow baseball cap emblazoned with a smiley face (and sneakers in the same color), and what appeared to be a tortilla chip-colored jumpsuit. He, of course, sported it with his signature blingy chains, one of which came dangling with a diamond-encrusted smiley face. The outlier here? A blue Balenciaga coat that was right out of his wife’s closet. Bieber was totally upfront about the loan too, taking to social media in his new look. The caption read: “drew new drop soon “that dripppp”” head to toe drew drip with my wife’s balenciaga jacket oouuieeee.”
Mrs. Bieber has been spotted in the oversized coat on more than one occasion. This past January, she stepped out with her husband in New York City wearing the $2,600 designer piece dubbed the “New Cocoon.” And though “borrowing from the boys” has been an ongoing trend for many years now – we’ve all heard of boyfriend jeans, boyfriend jacket, etc etc – it is nice to see that Mr. Bieber has no qualms about flipping the script on those gender norms.
