Notre Dame Announces Major College Football Video Game News – Outkick

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will participate in the upcoming college football video game.

College Football 25” is expected to hit shelves at some point in July, and it will be the first college football video game in 11 years.

Fans are unbelievably excited, and the new game will also feature actual players because of NIL rules allowing payments. It’s still not known how much money each player will receive.

The issues surrounding the game initially forced Notre Dame to release a statement in 2021 indicating the Fighting Irish would not be in the game. That’s no longer the case.

Notre Dame announces the Fighting Irish will be in the new college football video game.

Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick released a statement Thursday officially announcing that the school had reversed course and WILL be in the game.

“After nearly two years of work with EA Sports, we’re proud to announce that our fans around the world will be able to play as the Fighting Irish in the upcoming College Football franchise,” Swarbrick announced, in part, in the statement.

It really does seem like all the pieces are coming together for “College Football 25” to be a great game. Fans haven’t stopped talking about it since the teaser announcement dropped.

I’m literally going to buy a PS5 just to play this game, and I’m generally an anti-video game person. Not when it comes to college football. There are national titles to win and dynasties to build.

After being an incredibly notable holdout, Notre Dame is officially in. That’s music to my ears and the ears of fans everywhere. Let’s hope the game lives up to the hype, and keep checking back for any and all updates we might have. Let me know your thoughts at
