For those of you looking to partake in some less traditional Christmas viewing, Netflix has got you covered as Blumhouse survival-horror Sweetheart drops.
The creature-feature starring Transparent actress Kiersey Clemons will debut on the streaming service on Christmas Day itself.
Clemons plays Jenn, who is washed up on a mysterious tropical island and finds herself hunted day and night by a monster.
The film was produced by mega-horror studio Blumhouse, who have also been responsible for scare-fest franchises like The Purge, Insidious, The Conjuring and Happy Death Day.
Starring alongside Clemons in the film are The OA star Emory Cohen and Spartacus: Vengeance’s Hanna Mangan-Lawrence.
Netflix has a veritable cornucopia of film and TV hitting over the festive – here’s just a little peak at what to expect, you can view the full list here.
