Nostradamus 2022 predictions: France tipped for war with 'Eastern power'

Michel de Nostredame was a French astrologer, physician and reputed ‘seer’. He is best known for his book, ‘Les Prophéties‘, a collection of 942 poetic quatrains which allegedly precept future events. First published in 1555, Nostradamus — the latin version of his name — claimed to base his published predictions on judicial astrology.

This is the astrological “judgement”, or assessment, of the “quality”, and potential. of events such as births, weddings, coronations and so on.

He and his work were heavily criticised by professional astrologers of the day.

Figures like Laurens Videl argued that his predictions were incompetent for assuming that “comparative horoscopy” — the comparison of future planetary configurations with those accompanying known past events — could actually predict what would happen in the future.

Yet, through interpretation, many believe that some of Nostradamus’ visions have, in fact, come true: the death of Henry II of France in 1559; the Great Fire of London in 1666; the emergence of Adolf Hitler; the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; as well as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Now, according to History, one of Nostradamus’ predictions suggests that France could be faced for war with an “Eastern power” in 2022.

While it is difficult to pin down exact dates in Nostradamus’ predictions because they are based in astrological movements, the publication noted: “However, one that can be narrowed down to perhaps being due in 2022 is the prediction of war reaching Europe.

“The invasion of France by a threat from the east is a recurring theme throughout Nostradamus’ predictions, but the following prediction is speculated to be referring to the spring of 2022:

“‘Blue-head shall white-head

“‘Harm in such degree

“‘As France’s good to both shall e’er amount.'”

He stated: “No abbots, monks, no novices to learn;

“Honey shall cost far more than candle-wax”

“So high the price of wheat,

“That man is stirred

“His fellow man to eat in his despair.”

Political instability, Brexit and a global pandemic have all had a hand in contributing towards an inflation boom.

Nostradamus could even be alluding to the “Eat the Rich“, the anti-capitalist movement whose slogan is taken from Swiss philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, which has garnered great traction in recent years.

He has also predicted what appears to be something like a mass extinction of animals: “Like the sun the head shall sear the shining sea:

“The Black Sea’s living fish shall all but boil.

“When Rhodes and Genoa

“Half-starved shall be

“The local folk to cut them up shall toil.”

With global temperatures climbing and sea levels rising, might 2022 be the year where the climate really bites back?

While fish are unlikely to boil in the sea, many species are rapidly facing extinction due to increasingly uninhabitable environments and polluted homes.

The death of myriad coral reefs, the decimation of natural habitats, and the declining of fish numbers globally could be the beginnings of Nostradamus’ predictions of “boiling seas” and starving populations being just around the corner.
