Neymar backed to complete transfer back to Barcelona by former Nou Camp star

Neymar left Barcelona in the summer of 2017 to join French champions Paris Saint-Germain, who splashed out £200million to acquire his services.

However, less than a year after his world-record transfer to Paris, it emerged the Brazilian wants to return to the Nou Camp.

Express Sport understands the 27-year-old is indeed keen to end his stay in the French capital and return to Barcelona this summer.

PSG are willing to cut ties with the striker after their president Nasser El Khelaifi warned the former Santos man his ‘celebrity behaviour’ won’t be tolerated.

Neymar’s potential return to Barcelona would see the reformation of his deadly partnership with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

And Rivaldo hopes Barca can reach an agreement to bring his fellow countryman back to the Catalan capital.

“For the moment, the one [Brazilian] that I like the most is Neymar,” the Brazilian told Betfair.

“I [would] like that he returns to Barcelona.”

Barcelona are currently chasing the signature of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann but have yet to reach an agreement for the France international.

And Rivaldo believes a quartet of Messi, Suarez, Neymar and Griezmann would be one of the most feared strike forces in world football.

He said: “Messi-Suarez-Neymar-Griezmann would be fantastic for Barcelona.

“An attack with these four players would be spectacular and I think it’s possible to accommodate them all.

“It would be just a question of preparing a good system in training to make it possible.

“I don’t see a problem in playing with this Fantastic Four at the same time.

“Barcelona tend to have about 75 per cent of ball possession in a game, so they spent most of their time in offensive tasks and having these four players would be sensational.”
