New Lego Star Wars Video Game Announced for 2019 – Rumors, Details, Title, Release Date – Esquire.com

LEGO contains multitudes. Not only do they make the iconic bricks that puncture your bare feet, but they’re also the company behind some of the best video games being made right now. With an already incredible lineup that spans every pop culture franchise from Back to the Future to Batman, the company may be releasing a brand new title set in the Star Wars universe.

At the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago last week, Matt Wood of Skywalker Sound seems to have been the one who spilled the beans. Discussing upcoming projects in 2019, Wood seemed to accidentally mention a new LEGO Star Wars title, one that Eurogamer reports may encompass the full timeline of all three trilogies, tackling Phantom Menace through Rise of Skywalker. That’s a lot of bricks.

There are already several LEGO games set in the Star Wars universe; many of them easily topped their predecessor for the title of best game in the franchise. To be fair, they haven’t had much competition: The proud tradition of Star Wars games has hit a depressing slump as of late, Battlefront title after Battlefront title. But this next game, according to Eurogamer, is said to potentially be the “ultimate LEGO Star Wars game.”

While nothing has been formally announced, there seems to be a good chance that this news is legit. The next Star Wars film doesn’t come out until December 2019, but until then, stay up to date on all things about the Galaxy Far, Far Away here on Esquire.com.
