He explained: “This is really funny because there was one camera angle, and I’m watching it back, and I’m down on my knees and I didn’t think the camera was on me, so I’m actually down on my knees going [head dancing] yeah!”
He added: “And then I realised there’s a camera on me!”
The pair earned a respectable 34 points out of 40 for their performance.
Judge Craig Revel-Horwood joked that he thought Alex’s dramatic headpiece would be the star attraction, but that her dance performance proved him wrong.
