Natasha Exelby left Kerri-Anne Kennerley visibly offended after referring to her as her ‘mama’ during an appearance on Studio 10 on Friday.
The 31-year-old TV journalist was saying her goodbyes following a week-long stint on the program, when she turned to Kerri-Anne, 65, and made the comment.
‘KAK, we’re new, but you’re my mama,’ she told the veteran TV host, who appeared to have been at a loss for words.
Instead, Kerri-Anne just turned and stared stony-faced down the barrel of the camera, blinking slowly.
Her exaggerated reaction prompted her co-hosts to burst out laughing, before proceeding to clap and cheer.
Soon realising her mistake, Natasha tried to backpedal, grabbing Kerri-Anne’s arm and resting her head on her shoulder.

‘You’re my TV mama!’ she explained, prompting a tense Kerri-Anne to shoot her a disgruntled side-eye glance.
A mortified Natasha then quickly added: ‘You’re my hot, sexy, sassy mum.’
This seemed to put Kerri-Anne somewhat at ease, and she was able to muster a smile, but she still seemed taken aback by Natasha’s initial remark.
