Mum warns about Aldi’s baby sleeping bags claiming the stitching left her daughter’s neck red raw


A MUM has revealed that she was left in tears after finding her daughter’s neck red raw after it got caught in loose threading from some Aldi bedding.

The woman called Tasha shared online how she had entered her little girl’s room to discover the stitching on the recently-purchased baby sleeping bag from the supermarket had come undone.

In a post on Facebook, the horrified parent shared pictures of the product, as well as marks on her child’s neck, in order to encourage others to double-check the bedding their kids are sleeping in.

She wrote: “Please if you have bought Aldi bedding in the recent baby and toddler event check the stitching on it…

“I came in to this this morning and I haven’t stopped crying since.

“We are so incredibly lucky that she is ok.”

Her warning received over 1,800 ‘likes’, more than 2,500 comments and 10,000 shares.

One person wrote: “Omg one lucky girl glad she’s ok.”

Another commented: “OMG hope your baby is ok.”

A third shared: “That’s terrifying!”

The mum noted: “This could happen with any bedding, any clothes anything that is stitched.”

She added: “Please check all stitching no matter the brand.”

An Aldi spokesperson said: “We are sorry to hear about the Wright family’s experience and have arranged for the product to be collected and returned to our supplier so they can look into this immediately. “
