Mum saves time by putting her daughters to bed in tomorrow’s clothes and insists it’s a morning lifesaver

A MUM has shared how she puts her daughters to bed in the next day’s clothes to save time in the morning.

Australian Lisa Lamond, who is mum to Arabella and Ruby, said her handy hack helps their “chaotic” life and means her family can get out the door in record time.

Speaking to Whimn in October, Lisa said: “My daughters like to dress themselves from head to toe.

“On days I’m working in particular, I don’t have a spare hour while they pull up one sock.

“So the best piece of advice I’ve been given is to dress your kids the night before in the clothes you want them to go out in.

“When they wake up, I change their nappy, put their shoes on and we are out the door.

“It works wonders for me and where I’m at in life at the moment.”

Lisa also offered up some more advice for keeping her household running smoothly with two young kids.

She said that one of her daughters struggles with anxiety and getting through the morning routine.

In order to tackle this, she advised printing a morning and afternoon routine, with words and pictures listing what needs to be done, such as brushing hair, packing a bag and eating breakfast.

Lisa also said that online shopping helps to save her time and she always preps meals to freeze and keep in supply.

To make food go further, she makes a large jar of her mum-in-law’s favourite sauce which goes with everything from chicken to vegetables.

And to make their bathtime routine go smoothly, she lets her kids have slime in the bath as a bargaining tool to wash their hair.

We revealed how a mum invented a brilliant tip to keep kids quiet by telling them they need to lie still to ‘charge’ their glow-in-the-dark pyjamas.

While this mum flogs her kids’ toys on eBay to fund her hobbies and crafts.
