A MUM finally gave in to pressure to paint her daughter’s bedroom black – and people are seriously impressed with the results.
The mum wasn’t too sure about the dark shade after her ten-year-old wanted to re-decorate in her own style – but repeatedly asked for the gloomy colour.

After being ‘pestered’ the mum scoured the internet for inspiration, and finally came round to the idea.
She ended up sourcing all the materials on a budget, hitting up stores such as B&M and Ikea.
She shared snaps of her handiwork to Facebook group DIY On A Budget, where people are raving about the finished result.
She said: “Bit the bullet and agreed after a lot of pestering off my 10 year old daughter to paint her room BLACK today!

“My initial answer was a flat out NO but the more I looked on Pinterest at photos, the more it grew on me and I absolutely love it!
“Done totally on a budget.”
She decided to make black the main feature wall, and paint the others in white for a contrast.
She added: “The black paint is Dulux rich black (£15 a tin from B&Ms, we didn’t use a full tin and it’s a huge wall) white paint is Johnston’s brilliant white (£11 for a huge tub from B&Ms).

“Bedside table is also from B&Ms for only £25 and the other furniture is from Ikea.”
Her post has been liked more than 700 times, as people were pleasantly
surprised with the outcome.

This woman managed to turn her two couches into a corner sofa with a saw and some glue.
While this mum completely transformed her dirty pots using 89p cleaning spray which Mrs Hinch loves.
Plus this woman revamped her bathroom by making a floor out of 1p coins.
