MOTHERCARE has confirmed the last of its stores will close for good tomorrow with up to 80 per cent off remaining stock.
The failed baby and childrenswear chain has been emailing customers to push the last of its products.

The email, which has been shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group, reads: “Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
“Stores must close this week.”
It then shares how everything is now at least 50 per cent off, going up to 80 per cent for selected items.
At the same time, the Mothercare website has been shut down, meaning shoppers will only be able to find discounts in the remaining stores.

Mothercare told The Sun the last shops will close tomorrow, although it couldn’t confirm how many had already shut doors or which ones are still open.
The retailer had 79 stores when it collapsed into administration in November 2019 with shops being closed down in phases.
The company called in administrators from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to deal with the process.
Mothercare had been struggling with poor sales before its demise, as well as falling into a £36.3million loss.
It blamed cheap supermarket alternatives and the rise of online shopping for its failure.
Trouble on the high street in 2019
MOTHERCARE isn’t the only retailer to have struggled last year.
The high street also said goodbye to the following stores:
- Debenhams axed 22 of its 50 branches
- Forever21 closed 350 stores with its UK branches also at risk
- Jamie Oliver’s “Jamie’s Italian“ chain went bust, alongside his Fifteen and Barbecoa restaurants
- Links of London went into administration putting 350 jobs at risk
- Marks and Spencer closed 35 more stores as it pushes forward with plans to axe 145 shops across the UK
- Dozens of Monsoon and Accessorize stores closed
- While struggling shoe shop Office has said it “could close shops” as part of restructuring plans
- There were fears Pizza Express could be next to go into administration as it “brings in emergency advisers”
- Hairdressing chain Supercuts went into administration in October putting 1,200 jobs and 220 salons at risk
It first launched its 80 per cent off sale on Boxing Day with discounts on changing bags, carriers and strollers to name a few.
As it isn’t clear which stores are still open, or what stock they have left, we suggest calling ahead to avoid disappointment.

Sadly, Mothercare gift cards have not been accepted by the retailer since November 13, meaning any remaining vouchers are no good in stores.
The parent and baby brand had already closed 55 UK stores before it collapsed into administration to keep the business afloat.
Mothercare still has 1,000 stores overseas in 40 countries which are unaffected by the UK closures.
This isn’t entirely the end of Mothercare – the brand last month confirmed a new deal to sell some of its stocks in Boots stores.
