Moment Labour MP Karl Turner confronts Dominic Cummings about Boris Johnson’s ‘appalling’ language in angry exchange

This is the moment a Labour MP confronted the Prime Minister’s most senior adviser in a fiery exchange about Boris Johnson’s “tone of language” and delivering on Brexit

Karl Turner hit out at Dominic Cummings – Mr Johnson’s chief of staff – when they crossed paths at Portcullis House in Westminster.

In the exchange, Mr Turner spots Mr Cummings across a hall and shouts: “That tone of language the Prime Minister’s using is going down well in constituencies like mine.

“I’ve had death threats overnight – ‘should be dead’ – it’s a disgrace.”

Mr Cummings replies: “Get Brexit done,” before Mr Turner responds by striding over saying: “Get Brexit done? I’ve had three opportunities to get Brexit done.

“If I could have voted for it, I would have voted for it.

“The Prime Minister should be there negotiating a deal to bring back for me to support.

“Don’t tell me to get Brexit done.”

Mr Cummings, who is backed up against a pillar as he stands with two other men, responds by asking “who’s this guy?” in reference to Mr Turner.

As Mr Turner continues: “The tone of your language has been appalling,” Mr Cummings responds: “I don’t know who you are.”

Towards the end of the exchange Mr Turner says: “Its very, very dreadful, people are blaming you”.

Before the video ends, it appears Mr Turner is referring to death threats and uses the words “dead” and “in a ditch”.
