Miley Cyrus claims she's 'slut shamed' over relationships in epic rant

Miley Cyrus has hit out at those who have questioned her relationships recently following her split from Liam Hemsworth and then Kaitlynn Carter.

The 26-year-old singer set out her thoughts on Twitter in a series of tweets in which she claimed that she has been ‘slut shamed’ for her actions recently.

Miley split from ex husband Hemsworth after just eight months of marriage, before having a very public relationship with reality star Kaitlynn Carter.

The pair revealed they were together by posting a pic of them kissing while on vacation in Italy.

Since that coupling fell apart, Miley has been seen kissing Cody Simpson, in what has been a rollercoaster few months for the former Disney Channel star.

Now Miley has taken her trolls and those that have knocked her recent behaviour to task, with a four-point rant on social media, in which she claimed she has been ‘slut shamed’ and that she wants to be left to date who she wants, when she wants.

In the tweet, Miley wrote: “1. I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like that saw it thru from the beginning …. I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how i live it because they watched me grow up…. but I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only “know” what they see on the internet.”

She went on to make a second point in which she said that it is unfair how men and women are viewed differently if they have multiple relationships in a short period of time.

Miley continued: “2. Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut shamed. They move on from one beautiful young women to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referenced as ‘legends’, ‘heart throbs’, ‘G’, ‘Ladies Man’ etc…. where women are called sluts/whores! I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘mans’ world …. if we can’t beat em, join em! If our president can ‘grab em by the p****….’ can’t I just have a kiss and acai bowl?!?!”

Around 20 minutes after posting her first two points, Miley returned to social media to share a few more thoughts on how she is treated compared to others.

In them, Miley has said that people need to get used to her dating as she ‘refuses to become a recluse’ and stay at home.

She continued: “3. I refuse to recluse and ‘date’ from home cause A. That’s not fun B. Extremely uncomfortable / puts me in a vulnerable position …. i would like to share an activity with someone I am dating and not be stuck at home with pretty much nothing to do but ‘ Netflix and chill’”

Miley is looking to hit the dating scene hard

Miley ended her rant by pointing out that she will be dating and that this is something everyone will have to get used to, as she will be looking to live life to the full after an intense period.

She ended with: “4. This ‘dating’ thing is new to me too. I’ve never been an ‘adult’/grown a** woman experiencing this …, I was in a committed relationship for almost All my teens and early 20s; with the exception of a few breaks, which usually in those time I was working my ass off with not much R&R… and ‘meeting/trusting’ people in my position is really tuff. Don’t f***ing pity me, not what I’m asking for. I have a great life I wouldn’t trade for ‘privacy’ but PLEASE don’t make this awkward for me! I am trying to make light and like always MAKE FUN of myself / and the public’s perception of me! Get used to me dating – this is where I am at! #HotGirlFall”
