Mike Thalassitis' final Instagram post revealed as Love Island star helps fans

Mike Thalassitis set up a competition to help fans in his final Instagram post before he died at the age of 26.

The Love Island and Celebs Go Dating star’s body was found in woods near his Essex home yesterday.

Mike found fame on the ITV2 dating show in the 2017 series and was also a former League Two footballer.

In his last ever post on Insta, which came just 11 days before his death, Mike revealed he was giving away an amazing prize.

Mike was teaming up with CEO Adam Deering to pay one person’s rent for the next two months or give away £500 in cash.

The reality TV star shared a snap of himself posing in the gym to his 625,000 followers.

This came with the caption: “WHO WANTS CASH IN THEIR POCKET OR RENT PAID?! WOW so I’m giving away the opportunity to WIN either £500.00 CASH! Or your RENT PAID FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS

Adam, who had set up the competition with Mike, took to Insta after hearing the tragic news.

On his Instagram story, he said: “I hope you’ve now found piece @mike_Thala. Everyone please pray for Mike and his loved ones. Such sad news.”

He followed this up by calling for those who feel “vulnerable or scared” to speak out.

Mike’s heartbroken followers replied with emotional messages after news of his death broke.

One follower said: “Absolutely devastated. Amazing young man. Sending all my love to your family”

“Devastated! Such a shame, Condolences to his family and friends at this hard time. May you RIP Mike,” added another.

A third said: “So shocking I can’t believe it so terribly sad beautiful looking lad”

“Rest easy mike sending love & prayers to your family,” said a fourth.
