Michael Jackson: You won’t BELIEVE how much King of Pop’s glove sold for at auction

The King of Pop had a number of iconic looks, but none more so than one of his accessories. In 1983, Michael Jackson performed Billie Jean on a TV special called Motown 25. It was here where he wore a single glove covered with rhinestones, while debuting his famous moonwalk dance.

Jackson went on to wear the glove many times across difference performances.

He even said he felt that wearing one by itself was “cool” while two was “so ordinary”.

And now the mitt has sold at auction in Texas for an impressive amount.

According to The Sun, an anonymous buyer purchased the glove for an incredible £85,000.

As for what fans thought, they were just as divided over The Real Michael Jackson as Leaving Neverland.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “#TheRealMichaelJackson is the biggest load of bias I’ve seen in a long time.

“Let the man rest in peace.

“He was found not guilty so it’s completely disrespectful to continue to call him a paedophile.”

However, not everyone went to the King of Pop’s defence.

With one writing: “It is insane the amount of people on Twitter who defend Michael Jackson!”

While another added: “I find it hard to believe that there are people out there who still defend the multi-millionaire child abuser Michael Jackson.”

Jackson died in 2009 at the age of 50 and was worth around $500 million.
