Memorial Day is a time for remembering and honoring people who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

And several celebrities acknowledged the important US holiday on Monday with Instagram messages.

In a health survey released in 2018 by the RAND Corporation, 6.1 percent of people in the U.S. military self-identified as LGBT.
