Don’t cha wish the Pussycat Dolls could have a reunion?

Well you might be in luck – as Melody Thornton has expressed interest in the girl band reuniting.

The group – consisting of Melody, Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar – were one of the most successful girl groups of the 2000s before they disbanded in 2010.

And now, the former Pussycat Doll has said that a reunion is ‘impossible to fathom.’

‘I don’t think a Pussycat Dolls reunion is impossible to fathom’, she told Daily Mail Australia. ‘I love and respect my bandmates, so when the stars align.’

But the 34-year-old also admitted that the group worked hard constantly – and this led to her losing her sense of smell and part of her hearing.

‘In the Dolls, we kept going, no matter how hard it was. I suffered hearing loss through severe sinus infection and I lost my sense of smell, which affected my sense of taste.’

She added: ‘I was glad I was young enough that it came back. I had syringes up my nose to get steroid shots into my system – we were being worked that hard. It was crazy and really intense.’

And that wasn’t the only time that Melody pushed herself – she revealed she was also ill when she competed on the ITV reality series Dancing on Ice earlier this year.

‘On Dancing on Ice, I was sick the entire time’, she told New Magazine.

‘It was like a cold I couldn’t shake or a virus that wouldn’t go away.

‘It was a clear indication that I was working myself into the ground but I’m used to working through it.’

For now, Melody is focusing on her own solo projects.

This September, she will be performing in the stage show Rip It Up – The 70s, which is inspired by music of the 1970’s, alongside Louis Smith and Rachel Stevens.

The show kicks off in Norwich before visiting various cities across the UK.
