Mel B is apparently all for matching outfits with her beloved dog, after copping hate for dyeing its fur purple.
The Spice Girl singer was seen in North London recently with her pooch Cookie, the two sporting leopard-print outfits.
Look at that sartorial one-two punch.
The singer, who was wearing a pink, cosy tracksuit in the pattern, dropped her phone as she exited a cab outside a recording studio, before lighting up a cigarette and taking her pet pooch under her arm.
Cookie, the dog in question, came complete with her own purple furstyle, while sporting a canine-friendly leopard-print outfit.
As Scary Spice Mel held up her beloved dog on the roadside, Cookie’s new coloured mane was on full display to onlookers.
It comes after Mel left fans divided after posting photos of Cookie with her fur dyed colourfully but clarified that the dye was ‘harmless’.
While Mel was pleased with the salon outcome, some were concerned why she did it, posting: ‘Really? You dye your dog’s hair?? Are you crazy??’ and ‘Why colour your dog’s hair?’
Others, however, were loving Cookie’s new ‘do, telling Mel: ‘Love the hair!! Cookies too!!’ and ‘she is the most stylish dog on the planet at this moment’.
Due to people questioning the dog’s purple fur, Mel clarified: ‘Cookies colour is “vegan organic” doggy colour that is environmentally and totally harmless on her skin’.
And, hey, Cookie didn’t seem to mind.
Ever the busy bee, Mel also appeared on the Jonathan Ross show last week where she spoke about the end of her 10-year marriage to Stephen Belafonte.
Not holding back about the acrimonious split, she said it was ‘very much so [an abusive relationship]’ and that she feels ‘very lucky [now]’ that it’s behind her.
‘You’ve always been very nice to me.’ she said to Jonathan. ‘I think you said to me, “Tell him to f*** off.”‘
The 44-year-old singer, who married Belafonte in 2007 and shares an eight-year-old daughter Madison with him, initially filed a domestic violence restraining order against him before later withdrawing it.
‘When you leave a certain relationship like that, it’s amazing the amount of people that come up to you and say I never liked him.’ she said.
‘Why the bloody hell didn’t you tell me while I was with him?’
‘I was so in denial, I was so living a lie, I was so protective over him and of my family, also I was feeling guilty and ashamed of what I’d got myself into, or what he’d got me into,’ she added.
‘Now I’m like away from that and kind of championing women that have gone through what I’ve gone through, I’m patron of Women’s Aid, so I’ve put it to good use my experience. There’s light at the end of the tunnel, you know’.
