Megan McKenna mourns lost love in heartfelt track – weeks after Mike Thalassitis’ death

The TOWIE star has been focusing on her music in recent months, seeing her pout her heart out in her new tracks.

Although the pair had split months before, Megan revealed she was still coming to terms with his death, and headed to Nashville for some time away.

During her trip, Megan focused on her music, and admitted recently on Loose Women that songwriting had been her therapy.

As she shared the first snippet of her new track on Instagram, Megan sang heartfelt lyrics as it appeared to link to Mike’s death.

Posting the clip to her 2.3m Instagram followers, she said: “Here it is, the first time I performed Everything But You at the iconic Bluebird cafe.

“This track is from my album Story Of Me,” as she urged fans to go to her bio if they’re interested in tickets.

Singing the song in the video, Megan shared heartfelt words for her latest song, as she appeared to mourn the loss of a loved one.

She sang: “I want butterflies, slamming doors, wet towels on the bathroom floor, Sunday lie-ins, awkward silence.”

“I didn’t think I’d miss the things that make me mad”

She added: “I didn’t think I’d miss the things that make me mad, it’s true.

“I have everything I do, but you.”

She sang about hoping to find love again, but admits she’s “scared” after singing about missing “the touch of your lips”.

The new track comes shortly after Megan revealed song-writing to be her therapy, telling the Loose Women panel: “I’m doing okay thank you.

“I’ve just come back from Nashville because I’ve been putting everything into my work and writing music. I feel Nashville is my happy place.

“Writing music is like therapy for me because it’s like writing everything down in my diary. It’s my way of getting all my emotions and feelings out on paper.”
