Tokyo, a two-year-old cat from Varese, Italy has some seriously formidable goalkeeping skills.
Fluffy little Tokyo likes to keep herself occupied by catching and blocking balls her humans Luca Giaretta, 42, and Alice Demolli, 35, toss at her.
She’s not too bad at it either, as she’s been caught on video either catching or batting a foam ball away every time it gets close to her.
Got to hand it to her, that’s a great way to keep fit during lockdown.
Luca said: ‘She started playing ball last year while she was attending our garden BBQ from the balcony and I started throwing up the ball up to her: she would slam it back down all the time.
‘So we tried again in the house from the duplex height and she did it again.
‘Every now and then she leans over and waits for us to throw the foam ball. She loves it!’
Is the world ready for its first feline professional goalkeeper? We don’t see why not!
