Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen on taking over at Manchester United as he looks for a swift return to football.
The Argentinian was abruptly dismissed by Tottenham and replaced by Jose Mourinho last month after a poor start to the season.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich have already been touted as potential destinations for Pochettino, while Real Madrid and PSG have been linked in the past.
But the Manchester Evening News claim the 47-year-old ‘remains enchanted’ by the prospect of managing Manchester United.
The former Spurs boss was the overwhelming favourite to replace Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford last December before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won 14 of his 19 games as interim manager.

Pochettino was therefore forced to stay put, going on to achieve a top-four finish and a Champions League final in north London.
But a tough start to the season saw Spurs chairman Daniel Levy pull the trigger last month, swiftly bringing in Mourinho to replace the fan-favourite.
The Tottenham chairman is believed to have put barriers in place to stop Pochettino managing another Premier League rival this season.

However, Unai Emery’s Arsenal exit means talk has sparked talk of a shock switch across north London.
Meanwhile, Solskjaer is fighting to save his job at United after a torrid start to the campaign.
The Red Devils have only won four Premier League games this term, which leaves them ninth in the table.
Reports this week suggested Solskjaer was fearing for his job after Pochettino’s dismissal.

But the Norwegian shots down those claims in his press conference on Tuesday morning.
“No, it doesn’t make me more concerned,” said Solskjaer.
“I’m just focusing on my job and that’s doing as well as I can, look forward to the next game, look long term and plan things with board.
“I’m good, absolutely no problem, sometimes you laugh when you read stories about what I’ve said, but at least I know the sources are not sources and are just made up, blatant lies.
“It’s that time of year, it’s never nice to see your colleagues lose their job in a very short space of time.”
Pochettino spoke to Fox Sports Argentina this week in which he confirmed he was keen to manage in Europe when he next steps foot in a dugout.
