‘It was a big reality check’: Married At First Sight’s Tash Herz reveals why she was suddenly turned off Amanda Micallef the day after their wedding

Married At First Sight’s first lesbian couple did not have the sex on their wedding night, despite their strong chemistry at ceremony.

And Tash Herz has since revealed she was turned off by Amanda Micallef the morning after saying ‘I do’.

The Adelaide-based bartender, 31, told WHO magazine that she had a ‘big reality check’ in the aftermath of the wedding.

‘You do get swept up in the moment and then when you wake up the next day, there is a very big reality check,’ she said.

On Wednesday’s episode, the newlyweds appeared distant as they woke up the morning after their nuptials.

Amanda was asked by a producer if things had got ‘hot and heavy’ between them and, much to her disappointment, she confirmed that nothing happened.

Meanwhile, Tash had second thoughts about her whirlwind marriage.

She admitted: ‘I feel like everything’s happening so quickly… I think we just need to take it slow. We got swept up in the romance of the wedding.’

It comes amid speculation the pair have gone their separate ways, after Amanda shared an Instagram post last year in which she hinted at a break-up.

The post read: ‘Who you are and how you hold yourself through the bad times is what defines your character.

‘Anyone can have an entourage of false followers to help mask your s**tty personality, but who you are alone says it all.’

Amanda shared the post on October 3, four weeks after filming her wedding on September 5. She deleted it a few hours later.

Production didn’t wrap until December, when the remaining couples filmed their final vows, which suggests that Amanda and Tash didn’t make it to the end of the experiment.

Married At First Sight continues Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine
