Married At First Sight 2021: Why you should cancel your application NOW 

Casting is already underway for Married At First Sight‘s 2021 season.

But would-be brides and grooms may want to think twice about about applying for the experiment once they see the reality of ‘reality TV’.

In these exclusive photos, Daily Mail Australia reveals the side of MAFS viewers aren’t meant to see.

The pictures show how the three-month production is anything but glamorous.

This year’s cast looked downright miserable while filming in Sydney from September to December last year.

They rarely smiled as they went about their days while based at the Skye Suites apartment complex on Kent Street.

Instead, they looked exhausted, strained and depressed.

On October 15, Michael Goonan had a meltdown while at a café in the CBD. 

He looked pale and drawn as he grabbed a coffee during a brief break from filming. At one stage, he buried his head in his hands while reading a newspaper.

Likewise, Drew Brauer appeared overwhelmed on November 20 at the same café, which was located just outside the apartment complex.

Mishel Karen and Steve Burley looked tense while on a date on November 21. 

The pair failed to crack a smile as they grabbed coffee in the city. Just days later, Steve was pictured crying on the street as Mishel left him on November 28. 

Elizabeth Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus may have been this year’s only success story, but their faces often told a different story during the lengthy production.

What happened? Seb once again failed to crack a smile on November 27 

But their strained expressions were likely due to a combination of factors. 

Each participant was most likely feeling homesick, tired from long days on set, and exhausted by the constant drama among the cast. 

Married At First Sight’s seventh season limped to its conclusion on Sunday night. 

Many viewers lost interest this year because all of the major storylines happened off camera and the lack of continuity led to confusion.
