Mark Harmon, 69, is much-loved as the stoic head of the NCIS team in the long-running CBS series. His character in the show, Leroy Gibbs, tragically does not have any living children. Therefore, some may be wondering whether Harmon himself has kids in real life.

Does NCIS star Mark Harmon have children?

Known best as Leroy Gibbs in NCIS, Harmon is one of the best-paid stars on television.

The actor is thought to earn upwards of $500,000 for his role and has been starring in the show since 2003.

Given his longevity and popularity on the show, many fans are always looking to find out more about him.

Harmon leads a relatively quiet life outside of his role in the crime drama.

Outside of NCIS, he has also had roles in CSI: NY, Major Crimes, Haven: Origins and Laren.

In the past, Harmon has opened up about how proud he is of his two sons.

In 2020, he said: “I always think back to the first time they talked about doing a young Gibbs thing here, and Sean was just out of school at that point.

“A director named Tony Wharmby said, ‘Can he come in and read?’

“And on his own he did and I’m proud of him taking his work seriously and how he approaches being an actor.

“Not just on this show, [but] just what he has chosen to try to do in his life’s work.

“I’m proud of both our boys, and they work hard at what they do and I’m proud that they get up in the morning and try to do that every day.”

He also added in the conversation with Entertainment Tonight how his wife is also very excited about her sons’ success.
