Filming is well and truly underway for new superhero movie Birds of Prey – and Harley Quinn is having such a good time that she’s serving up margaritas on set!
Margot Robbie was spotted getting into character in Los Angeles yesterday.
Clutching a tray of cocktails, the Australian actress had donned black striped cut-off denim shorts and a multi-coloured jacket made from plastic streamers as she transformed into her DC Comics alter-ego for the new superhero movie.
With her hair tied back in Harley’s signature bunches, she was seen handing out margaritas to her co-stars as the cameras rolled.
Margot, who recently re-located to California with her British director husband Tom Ackerley, has been busy filming the 2016 Suicide Squad sequel.
Earlier in the day, Margot drove a vintage car as she shot another scene with a co-star in tow. She was also pictured filming ‘explosive’ scenes as she jumped from a moving vehicle earlier in the month.
Birds of Prey sees Harley team up with other female superheroes to save a young girl from the clutches of an evil crime lord.
Following on from the first Suicide Squad, which saw the likes of The Joker and Harley Quinn get into all sorts of world-ending trouble, the new movie will be a ‘total reboot’ of the original, producer Peter Safran recently revealed.
‘It’s everything you would hope from a James Gunn script and I think that says a lot and that promises a lot and I know that we will deliver a lot,’ he told JoBlo. The film is set for release in 2020.
