Ashley Young to Inter Milan

Inter Milan are trying to sign Manchester United defender Ashley Young.

That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who claims Antonio Conte has already made contact with the Premier league side.

“Inter Milan have asked for Ashley Young,” Romano tweeted. “Talks ongoing with Man United – the player is ready to accept. Antonio Conte wants him strongly.”

Young, 34, could join former Old Trafford colleagues Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku at the San Siro should the deal happen.

Rafael return

Rafael da Silva has been offered to Premier League clubs.

The former Manchester United right-back, who made 169 appearances during his seven-year spell at Old Trafford, has reportedly attracted interest from three top-flight clubs.

Sky Sports claim Brighton, Palace and Southampton are all interested in the 29-year-old.

And French side Lyon are supposedly open to selling the Brazilian.

Jesse Lingard offered to AC Milan

Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard has been offered to AC Milan by new agent Mino Raiola, according to reports.

The Dutch agent has been at loggerheads with United in recent weeks and months over the future of Paul Pogba who has been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus.

And now Alessandro Jacobone of Sportitalia claims Raiola has offered Lingard to Serie A side AC Milan.

United could let Lingard go this month and Express Sport understands the England star could be included in a swap deal for Leicester’s James Maddison as well.

Ashley Young sale

Ashley Young could soon be plying his trade in Italy.

That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim Manchester United will be offered a chance to move to Serie A in January.

Young has seen his playing time reduced by the emergence of youngster Brandon Williams.

But the versatile 34-year-old could join Chris Smalling in Italy should offers arrive this month.

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is ruled out of the Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg derby clash against neighbours Manchester City with a foot injury.

James Maddison latest

Leicester will not sell James Maddison in January.

That’s according to Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers, who has reiterated the club’s desire to keep the Manchester United target.

“There’s no pressure to sell and no need to sell,” he told reporters. “James is a very talented player and he will be here in January and beyond.

“He’s a player we’re keen to remain here and help us on this journey over the next years. James and his representatives are speaking with the club and these things take time.”

Odsonne Edouard latest

Celtic have decided they’d rather sell Odsonne Edouard at the end of the season rather than now, according to reports.

The striker has been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham this season amid his fine form for Neil Lennon’s side.

Edouard has been in prolific form for Celtic this season, scoring 13 goals and registering five assists from 17 Scottish Premiership matches so far.

Manchester United expect Chelsea to fight them on a transfer for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had been hoping to sign Sancho during the summer transfer window but, ultimately, couldn’t bring the England international in.

The Red Devils ended up snapping up Daniel James from Swansea instead and the Wales international has enjoyed a solid start to his Old Trafford career.

Christian Eriksen latest

Inter Milan are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham star Christian Eriksen.

The Denmark international, 27, is out of contract in June and will be free to leave the club on a free transfer with Barcelona and Manchester United both linked.

However, Antonio Conte’s side have made the first move.

Italian journalist Nicolo Shira tweeted: “Inter are in advanced talks with Christian Eriksen for the summer as a free agent.

“Marotta has offered a contract until 2024. The player prefers leave Tottenham at the end of the season, meanwhile Spurs are working to sell already him in January for €20-25M.”

Edinson Cavani decision

PSG hitman Edinson Cavani has decided he’d rather join Atletico Madrid than Manchester United, according to reports.

The Uruguay international is primed to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.

And Marca say that the 32-year-old has received an offer from Manchester United.

Tahith Chong to Juventus

Manchester United look increasingly unlikely to retain the services of Tahith Chong, The Sun claim.

And that’s because Juventus are ready to offer the 20-year-old talent a massive £35,000-a-week contract and a £2million signing bonus.

The winger has entered the final six months of his contract and is eligible to speak with clubs outside of England.

However, it’s claimed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are still hopeful of persuading Chong to pen a new five-year deal at Old Trafford.

Boubakary Soumare battle

Manchester United are eager to sign Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.

But they aren’t the only Premier League club chasing the France Under-21 international, who has been valued at £50million.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also tracking the highly-rated midfielder, while Real Madrid and Valencia have been credited with interest.

Aston Villa are close to completing the signing of Barcelona’s Louie Barry.

The Catalan giants snapped up the talented teenager from Championship West Brom for a paltry £235k compensation fee.

And ESPN claim Barcelona are ready to turn a profit after just six months.

It’s reported that Dean Smith’s side are close to reaching a £1.3million deal with the Spanish champions despite interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Paul Pogba surgery

Paul Pogba underwent surgery on his ankle injury on Tuesday morning.

The Manchester United midfielder posted an update on social media after going under the knife, saying “everything went well” during the operation.

Pogba initially posted a video on Instagram in which he looked somewhat groggy and admitted: “I don’t even know if I’m OK or if I’m high or if I’m sober, just don’t ask me if it went well, I don’t know.”

He later deleted that post and replaced it with a shorter video.

Cesc Fabregas Q&A

Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has revealed how close he came to joining Manchester United in 2013.

The Red Devils put a £25million bid in for Fabregas, who was at Barcelona at the time, during the summer.

He ended up staying at the Nou Camp for another season before moving to Chelsea but has now opened up on how close he came to moving to Old Trafford.

Asked during a Twitter Q&A how close he came to signing for United, Fabregas replied: “I wouldn’t say close but I did talk to David Moyes a couple of times.”

Ezequiel Barco interest

Manchester United and Arsenal are both interested in Atlanta United attacker Ezequiel Barco, per TNT Sports LA.

The 20-year-old has starred as a winger or as a No 10 for the Five Stripes ver the last two seasons and helped them to win the MLS Cup in 2018.

He has registered nine goals and nine assists in 59 appearances for the club.

And TNT Sports LA claim Inter Milan, Roma, United, Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon are among those keen on the Argentine.
