Bruno Fernandes update

Bruno Fernandes has refused to rule out a move away from Sporting Lisbon this summer, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to rebuild his squad.

Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes has admitted he doesn’t know if he’ll stay at Sporting Lisbon next season.

“I’m with Sporting,” Fernandes said speaking to Portuguese newspaper Record.

“There are no contacts with any club, at least as far as I know. There is a lot of talk, there are sure to be clubs interested but to this day, my focus has always been placed on Sporting.

“I’ve spent two intense years, I don’t know if I will spend a third year [at Sporting], I don’t know if I’m going to leave. No one knows the future.”

Paulo Dybala latest

Manchester United have been told to forget about signing Paulo Dybala by Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici.

His brother Gustavo recently claimed he was certain to leave in the summer, although the player himself hit back at his comments and insisted he was happy to stay put.

And Paratici has now given the clearest indication yet that his forte remains with the Juventus.

“He is one of our players, we have great confidence in him,” he said.

“The investment we made four years ago and the renewal of the contract [renewed in April 2017 until 2022] is proof of this.

“Dybala is a Juventus player, a very important player for us.”

Go for Lo Celso

Manchester United are considering a move for Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso.

That’s according to Spanish newspaper Marca, who claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been monitoring the 23-year-old.

Diario de Sevilla add that Premier League rivals Tottenham have already seen a £53million bid rejected by the Spanish outfit.

Lo Celso, who scored 16 goals and provided six assists last season, is believed to have an £88million release clause in his contract.

De Ligt offered?

Gabrielle Marcotti claims Matthijs de Ligt has been offered to Manchester United and Real Madrid as well as Barcelona by agent Mino Raiola.

“He’s trying to create an auction right, so he’s punted De Ligt to Real Madrid, he’s linked him to Manchester United, he’s offered him of course to Barcelona,” he told ESPN FC.

“Some reports in England say United are pulling out of the race for De Ligt, that all seems to be up in the air.

“But I think it’s a numbers game for Barca frankly. They’ve already spent a ton of money on Frenkie de Jong.”

Antoine Griezmann deal backed

Manchester United have been backed to sign Antoine Griezmann by former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino.

Griezmann is leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer after five years with the Spanish giants – and Cascarino believes they should pull out all the stops to secure his signature.

“Didier Deschamps had him in the French team and put a lot of onus on getting the best out of Antoine Griezmann to be a major force,” he told talkSPORT.

“He literally runs everywhere, he’s dynamic, he’ll get goals, he’s a great finisher.

“I think it’s exactly what United do need, someone of that inspiration on the football field. He’ll change the way United play.”

Good fit for De Ligt

Matthijs De Ligt says his future is up in the air and compatriot Jaap Stam believes the highly-rated Ajax defender would fit in well at Manchester United.

He has been strongly linked with a summer move to Barcelona, who have already signed midfielder Frenkie De Jong from the Amsterdam club.

“He’s a great player,” Stam said. ”He’s only a youngster as everybody knows. But in how he plays, he’s an adult, to be honest.

“He’s got composure on the ball, he’s aggressive tactically, he sees the game, he reads the game well and he’s got that driving force for himself as well in what you need to achieve and where you want to go to.

“I think he would suit very well over here if they’re trying to pick him up.”

Jerome Boateng transfer battle

Arsenal and Manchester United are set to battle it out over World Cup winning Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.

Arsenal and Manchester United are both in the market for defenders after failing to secure a top four finish in the Premier League.

Both clubs were put on alert on Monday after Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness told fans that Boateng is now surplus to requirements – and should find a new club in the summer.

Hoeness told BR: “I would recommend him as a friend to leave the club. He needs a new challenge, recently he has seemed out of place.”
