Man Utd news LIVE: Woodward makes offer to beat Liverpool to transfer, Grealish deadline

Man Utd offered Emil Forsberg

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign RB Leipzig’s wantaway attacker Emil Forsberg this summer.

However, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may struggle to fit the Swedish international in his squad.

According to SportBild, Forsberg has grown frustrated with the limited opportunities he is being offered by Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann.

The 28-year-old, who plays predominantly as a left winger but can also slot in as an attacking midfielder, has been offered to several Premier League clubs.

A minimal fee of £17million (€20m) is all that would be required, which is short change to Premier League clubs.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be given a transfer warchest this summer and he will be in the market for offensive players.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sends Anthony Martial message

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Anthony Martial he should be scoring more goals, as the Frenchman continues his evolution as a centre forward.

“If you’re a wide forward, you’re facing forwards more and running at people,” Solskjaer said.

“Now he’s in a different position, where it is more physical and you’ve got to be stronger with your back to goal and be more patient.

“It’s your job to be in the box when the ball arrives. I’m still at him. I demand more of him.

“Sometimes, the ball is squared across the six-yard line and it’s where he should be.

“I just nudge him and say: ‘It should have been a goal for you.’ Scoring 25 instead of 15 is a big difference for a No 9.”

Ed Woodward wants four Man Utd deals

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward wants Jack Grealish and three other signings this summer.

The Red Devils are desperate to land the Aston Villa star, with reports claiming United want to wrap up a deal by the end of the week.

And the Manchester Evening News say United are eyeing a defensive midfielder and two new forwards after they sign Grealish.

Grealish has been in fine form for Villa this season, with the 24-year-old expected to make England’s Euro 2020 squad at the end of the season.

Timo Werner offer

Manchester United have made an offer to RB Leipzig star Timo Werner, it’s claimed. The Germany international has been tipped to head to the Premier League, with Liverpool, United and Chelsea all said to be eyeing the forward.

Werner has talked up a move to Liverpool to team up with his countryman Jurgen Klopp.

And according to The Athletic, United have made a proposal to Werner to beat Liverpool to the striker.

Werner has an offer from United – and Barcelona – however, the German is waiting to see whether Liverpool will make a move.

The Athletic add that there’s a clause in Werner’s Leipzig contract that allows him to agree a move away for £51m providing talks are wrapped up before an April deadline.

Jack Grealish transfer deadline

Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Aston Villa star Jack Grealish and want to complete a deal by the end of the week in a similar move to Chelsea, who are also looking to do their business this month.

Frank Lampard moved quickly to complete the £37million deal for Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech last week.

And now United are looking to do likewise to avoid the situation which happened in the last two transfer windows.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have made Grealish a top target and are ready to move for the 24-year-old this week.

It is thought Grealish would be open to moving to Manchester as he is often captured socialising in the city.

David De Gea to be sold?

Manchester United could look to sell David de Gea at the end of the season in order to raise funds for a summer spending spree, according to Goal.

Dean Henderson could be promoted to first-team goalkeeper if that were to happen.

The Spaniard could still be on his way this summer, despite having signed a new contract in September to keep him at the club until 2023.

The 29-year-old is believed to be keen on a move back to Spain, but neither Real Madrid or Barcelona are keen to sign a new goalkeeper.

Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are believed to be two potential options.
