Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Ed Woodward talks

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted results and performances need to improve and has revealed conversations he has had with Ed Woodward over the next two transfer windows.

He explained: “Well, of course it’s always…. I speak to Ed loads of times and we speak regularly and we’ve spoken so many times we do have a plan and we have made some decisions in the short-term would harm us but in the long-term would benefit us and that’s part of the plan, but results are always the main thing and we can move forward quicker with results and performances.

“I am sure we will get there.

“But there’s planning for the next transfer window and summer transfer window.”

Virgil van Dijk taunts Man Utd

Virgil van Dijk has poured cold water on Liverpool’s rivalry with Manchester United.

“The whole atmosphere and leading to the actual game is bigger than some other games but I don’t think it’s the biggest of the season,” Van Dijk told Sky Sports.

“It’s massive, but it’s more massive for the fans.

“I think all of the Champions League games are as big as this.

“The big ones are the Champions League and the ones that are hopefully going to win us the Premier League title.”
