Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney launches expletive-filled rant at official before blasting DC United’s travel arrangements

WAYNE ROONEY launched a furious expletive-ridden rant at the fourth official before blasting MLS travel arrangements last night.

The Derby County-bound striker looks like he cannot wait to get back to England in January after his furious outbursts during and after DC United’s defeat at Vancouver Whitecaps.

Manchester United and England’s all-time top goalscorer, 33, exploded after he was hauled off in the 72nd-minute of the 1-0 setback.

He marched straight towards the fourth official and repeatedly shouted “Every f***ing game” before eventually heading to the bench.

Rooney’s gripe appeared to be directed towards the standard of officiating in the American top-flight.

But his fury did not just stop there.

The veteran took to Twitter after the game to take a pop at the travel arrangements his side faced getting back from Canada ahead of midweek clash with New York Red Bulls.

Instead of the accustomed charter flights he was used to playing for United, Everton and England, the MLS primarily opt for commercial flights – making journeys a lot more hectic and time consuming.

Rooney tweeted: “Gutted about result last night. We deserved more. Looking forward to a 12 hour travel day which could be done in 6 but hey this is mls. We will get ready for red bulls Wednesday. #Charterflights #msl.”

The legend has scored 23 times for DC United since heading across the pond from Goodison Park in July 2018.

But his stay in the US will not last much longer after he surprised everyone last month by announcing he had agreed to join Derby on an 18-month contract from January as a player-coach.

He will earn around £100,000-a-week at the Championship club and will wear the No.32 shirt after a controversial sponsorship deal with betting company 32Red.
