Man Utd 'keen on signing Kieran Trippier' – but fans are NOT happy about transfer

Manchester United are in the market for a right back this summer but fans are desperately hoping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t sign Kieran Trippier.

The Red Devils are set to say farewell to Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian at the end of the season, which will leave youngster Diogo Dalot as the club’s only recognised right back.

Both Valencia and Darmian are out of contract at Old Trafford, with the latter linked with a series of Serie A clubs with the Italian only making 14 appearances for United in the Premier League this season.

But to make up for the double loss, Solskajer is in the market for Tottenham full back Trippier, according to Gianlucadimarzio .

Trippier has been linked with a move to Manchester United

Less than a year ago Trippier was the cream of the country having starred for England on their way to the World Cup semi-finals in Russia.

But after a difficult season with Spurs, which is likely to see his north London exit, United fans are definitely not excited about Trippier potentially skipping down the right wing come August.

Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a much more popular choice, and is also among Solskajer’s transfer targets.

Trippier has failed to impress this season

They took to social media to vocalise their unhappiness at the transfer link with Trippier.

Phil Jones FC tweeted: “Kieran. Trippier. What had happened to Manchester United ? If it happens it will be a disgrace.”

Another user wrote: “If we sign trippier and Tottenham then sign wan bisaka I am becoming a Salford fan why would we want a player that Tottenham don’t?”

Matt added: “We seriously better not go for Trippier. That would be United going cheap again in the market. Joke of a club.”

Joel was given a sleepless night simply at the thought of it, he said: “Just woke up in a pool of sweat dreaming United signed trippier and spurs replaced him with wan Bissaka.”
