Wick-ed idea: Rylan Clark-Neal has designed lovely candles for his Luxenoa range at QVC, but the cheapest is £23.96. I’ll be buying his small Ice Block candle holder instead — it’s reduced from £22 to £15.96 and is reusable. I’ll then head to B&M to buy a two-pack of white pillar candles for £2.99.

Old hand: Wait until collections are out of season. Prices have been slashed in Studio’s collaboration with Sam Faiers, with a number of bedding sets half price. I love the floral Rosella set, down from £30 to £15.
