Lavender lamb: Change up your roast dinner by adding lavender to your lamb. You can do this by stuffing the meat with sprigs of fresh lavender, or mixing the flowers with honey and oil to form a tasty glaze — a cheaper alternative to The Bay Tree Jelly Lavender Glaze, £2.39 at Ocado.

Elderflower cordial: Great on its own or paired with gin, this cordial will go down a treat. To make your own, trim fresh elderflower heads from their stalks and infuse in a sugar syrup.
