Married At First Sight stars Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson were married in Sydney on Sunday, with a special on the happy event airing on A Current Affair on Tuesday night.

Host Sylvia Jeffreys described the event as, ‘a beautiful day and it was a pretty spectacular party.’

The event certainly delivered, with the smitten pair sharing what Sylvia described as ‘a real life fairy-tale’.

In contrast with their non-legally binding wedding on Married at First Sight, the couple planned their entire wedding themselves. 

They chose hand-peeled roses, their venue, wines and food, leaving no detail to chance. 

They picked an elaborate floral arch to sit over the top of their wedding table, flanked by chandeliers.

An incredible 2000 roses were hand-peeled on the day of the wedding, with Cam revealing he wanted to treat his bride-to-be.  

It’s every girls dream for their wedding day to be as special as this,’ he said, beaming at his future wife. 

The Greek-themed wedding menu, served at Alpha restaurant where the reception was held, consisted of a starter of a yogurt and cucumber dip, followed by fresh chilli and figs baked with lemon-infused ouzo.   

Next up was prawn and vongole saganaki, tomato-baked with an ouzo cream and lots of fetta.  

In contrast to her frock on MAFS, Jules wanted to ‘look really different to last time’ opting for an elaborate wedding dress. 

The gown consisted of a floaty, feathered skirt, a strapless sweetheart neckline and embellished bodice.  

‘I think he’d love it,’ she said of Cam’s potential reaction to the frock. ‘He’d think I look like a princess’. 

The couple headed off ring shopping, picking up diamonds at Cerrone Jewellers in Sydney. 

Jules joke that next she’ll get a push present ‘for the other hand’ once the pair have a child. 

Wedding dance practice was next, with Cam and Jules working out an interpretive dance.   

For her hen’s party, Jules held a party at Blow Bar in Balmain, with her hens getting dolled up while topless waiters served champagne and espresso martinis. 

The ladies then headed off for a chartered boat ride, dancing to tines on the as they skipped across the harbour. 

During the party, Jules got candid about the breakdown of her relationship with Melissa Lucarelli, who was dropped as her bridesmaid.   

‘Do you know what? My nearest and dearest are here right now. That’s all that matters’ she insisted.
