Madonna has vented her fury at the London Palladium, after claiming the theatre lowered a ‘9-tonne’ curtain before she was finished performing, after the show overran her curfew.

The singer, 61, was performing on the London leg of her Madame X tour, when the curtain was reportedly lowered before the end of the show.

She shared a video in which she could be heard yelling: ‘F**k you, motherf**kers! Artists are here to disturb the peace, f**k you!’

Madonna captioned it: ‘Artists Are Here to Disturb the Peace……………. it was 5 minutes past our 11:00 curfew – we had one more song to do and The Palladium decided to censor us by pulling down the metal fire curtain that weighs 9 tons.

‘Fortunately they stopped it half way and no one was hurt………….. Many Thanks to the entire Audience who did not move and never left us. Power to The People!!’

Despite the curtains being drawn across the stage, Madonna and her dancers still came out in front of it to perform I Rise to the delight of her fans, despite her mic being turned off.

The London Palladium denied that they had lowered the fire curtain, saying in a statement: ‘Contrary to a number of reports, at no point during last night’s performance did staff at The London Palladium pull down, or attempt to pull down, the Iron Fire Curtain.’

Madonna had told her audience at another performance at the Palladium last week that she had a strict curfew imposed by Westminster council, and that an ‘iron curtain’ would fall if she overran.

The Madame X tour has also suffered a number of cancellations due to ongoing injuries, including three dates in London, making a total of 10 cancelled shows out of 93.

She told her followers: ‘As you all know I have multiple injuries and have had to cancel shows to give myself time to recover.

‘So as not to surprise you I want to let you know ahead of time that I will be cancelling 2 shows – on Feb 4 and Feb 11 at the Palladium in London.’
