Suggs, 60, whose real name is Graham McPherson, has been the frontman of Madness since the late 1970s. However, the star has previously opened up about his health in an unearthed interview about how his wife’s cancer urged him to act.
Suggs has been married to singer Bette Bright since he was just 21-years-old.
However, the couple had to deal with a “shocking” ordeal when Bette, whose real name is Anne, found a lump in her breast.
Speaking about the scary time in an unearthed interview, Suggs admitted this also made him reassess his own health.
He explained: “Funnily enough, when I heard, I was just celebrating a very successful fish finger commercial.

“I’d got a few quid in the bank and I remember I was sitting there in an extraordinarily expensive restaurant, smoking, and she rang me to say they’d found a lump in her breast.
“It was a real shocker. All the horror and the process that you go through, I can understand now.
“And it happens to so many people. It wasn’t so long ago that you heard that word cancer and you were dead, your life was finished.
“Thankfully, in more fortunate cases, that has changed, but that’s a day I’ll never forget.
He said: “I had one of those MOT man-things. I had everything checked, all the vital organs.
“I was sweating as the doctor went down the list. When he got to the liver I was thinking, ‘Oh, here we go’ and he said it was all fine.
“All fine! So I went on the lash for three days.
“Anne called me and said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m celebrating my good health, as any red-blooded man should.’”
Suggs will be a guest on Sunday Brunch today where he’s likely to discuss a new documentary series about the band.
